Bartoli Design, team consisting of Paolo and Anna Bartoli , continues today experience of design and design culture opened by Carlo Bartoli in 1960 and materialized in numerous collaborations with leading companies in the furniture industry – among other Arflex, Atelier De Berenn Bonaldo, Confalonieri, Colombo Design, Fiam, International Office Concept, Jesse, Kartell, Kristalia, Laurameroni Design Collection, Lualdi Porte, Matteograssi, Move, Nodus, Riva 1920, Rossi di Albizzate, Segis, Steelcase, Tisettanta, Ycami. The research study is marked by a poetic based on simplicity and balance: from the initial concept to product strategies and communication, from concept to product development, the activity of the studio embraces the full spectrum of services design. Bartoli Design also develops projects of architecture, exhibition, interior and urban design.
In 2008 he received the XXI Compasso d’Oro ADI for R606Uno chair, designed for Segis with Fauciglietti Engineering. The sofa Tube for Rossi di Albizzate received the ‘IF Award for Good Industrial Design and was selected for the series of stamps of the Italian Post Office “Italian Design for a new domestic landscape”. Carlo Bartoli has exhibited his work in Italy and abroad: at the Triennale di Milano, at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, at the Stadt Museum in Cologne and New York, Prague, Hong Kong, Athens, Buenos Aires. The Gaia armchair for Arflex is included in the permanent design collection of the MOMA in New York and the Milan Triennale.
The 4875 chair by Kartell is showcased in the design collection of the National Arts Museum, Centre Pompidou, in Paris. The armchair Breeze by Segis – awarded the ‘ID Design Distinction Award, Apex Product Design Award, Red Dot and IF Award for Good Industrial Design – is depicted on the stamps of the Italian Post Office “Masters of Italian design”. The Sol table designed by Bartoli Design for Bonaldo was awarded the Good Design Award 2010. The jury of the Young & Design gave Carlo Bartoli recognition Apostle of Design 2012, for the work of designers inspired by the needs and the honesty of the project . Tables Still and Octa of Bartoli Design for Bonaldo, received the Red Dot Award 2013 and the Good Design Award 2014.
